| Duties: | Determine patient doses for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and monitor their appropriateness and potential effect on patent health.
Consider all available options, make appropriate age specific (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric) recommendations, take needed action, and evaluate outcomes.
Effectively identifies radio-sensitive structures or organs and plans for minimum dose to those areas.
Evaluates daily processes for achieving accuracy in the delivery of radiation to the patient.
Provides the technical staff with support in the implementation of the treatment plan.
Responsible for coordinating all levels of treatment planing to assure timely implementation of the plan and care of the patient. Provides for age-specific patient (pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric).
Assists in intracavitary sealed source procedures and calculation of dose distribution.
